There is something about withering flowers I can't resist - what is it, though?...
The colours? Yes! Absolutely, but there is something else...
A melancholy about another summer gone by, perhaps?
But also the beauty of the cycle of life.
Maybe you can tell me?
I think it is because they all wither in a different way. They look so similar in bloom...but once they start to turn, it is interesting to watch their metamorphosis! Beautiful again, Maj!

Thanks for visiting me on my blog and leaving me such a warm comment...yours is beautiful...I love your images and the color swatches underneath..that's so unique. I hope you'll attend next year's journalfest..I don't travel much for teaching purposes as I rather not leave my children at home 'alone' for more than a day. I actually remember you quite well as I was sitting twice with you while having a meal...you are quite an interesting person...it's nice to see people coming to journalfest from all over the world...I myself was born ad grew up in Isreal and as an adult lived in the Netherlands for nearly a decade...I've been living in Southern California for quite a few years now with my handsome husband (who is from Guatemala) and our two children..So we both come from all over the globe don't we?.....Hope to see you again and actually get to know you a bit....
